Teachers work with each student at his/her own pace, adjusting the program of instruction to meet each student’s specific needs.
Parents attend lessons, to take notes and help the student practice and listen to the reference recording at home.
Students enjoy learning with a carefully graded series of activities that combine fun (“It’s easy!”) and the pride of accomplishment (“I can do it!”) as they meet challenges of increasing difficulty.
A year’s registration includes 34 individual lessons scheduled between August 1 and July 31. Individual lessons are scheduled at mutually convenient times between the teacher and the student families. Teachers have complete control of their own studio schedules and each teacher meets the 34 lesson commitment differently. Parent with scheduling concerns should discuss them with teachers when they are observing lessons prior to starting their own lessons.
Lesson locations are in various areas across the city.
- Bonnie Doon
- Glenora
- Forest Heights
- Castledowns
- Mill Woods
- For specific lesson time and place availability, it is best to contact the individual teachers directly, as they are all in charge of their own schedules. Contact the ESFRS Music Program Director at suzukifluteandrecorder@gmail.com for more information.
Teachers cannot hold lesson times for students until the student has completed the entire registration process for the program, including payment in full.
